motor/tranny pull time

Well looks like I'm loosing oil bigtime now, starting to leave lil puddles
whereever I park (must be pre-mag syndrome..hehehe) so the plan is to pull
the motor and fix the oil pan seal (I *think* that's where it's leaking
from) swap out the oil pump and timing chain while it's out, get some light
headwork done (may as well, right?) and the cam if I can come up with the
cash. The tranny will get a rebuild kit from level 10 perf. kevlar bands,
etc etc, this'll probably ruin the cam budget... as long as it's all out,
gonna drop the transfer case and fix the leaking gaskets there as well.

My question is, is it possible on these trucks to remove the motor and
tranny together? Looks like that'd be easier, but since I've never pulled a
motor I dunno. Down time is gonna run about 2 weeks I think, will
probablly get a bike to ride to work unless I can find a car to bum off
someone... Is there a good source of info on the 46rh that I can use for
the rebuild?
