I think there is a switch on teh rear end or sensor that is it goes bad it
will go on, now this happen to my 89 4x4 if i hit the brakes hard while
drivin or come to a stop quickly it would come on, to get rid of teh light in
my face i disconnected the bat and would be fine till i i would jam the
brakes, now on my 92 it happen to me too because a garbage truck ran me off
the road so i disconnected the batt and never happen again.Good luck and if u
