1. When I had a question about the equipment that came on my truck I went
down to the dealer and asked them if they could tell me what I had on my
truck for options and they printed out a list that had everything including
the type of tranny I had. Which was an A500 but for yours it could be the
A518.
2. And for STEVE. there should be a cable connected to the throttl linkage
that allows you to adjust the firmness of your shifts according to the
tightness of the cable.

I'm not sure what kind of tranny i have on my 97 CC 4x4 318 auto w/O.D. I am
having problems w/ the shift between 1st-2nd. All the other shift point's
are fine. It seems to hammer into 2nd gear. Does anyone know if adjusting
the bands would help? One dealer told me that they don't adjust the bands
any more on the new trannys.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve
