Is there any possibility that my stock 195 degree thermostat could have been
opening below 180 degrees?
The reason I ask is, when estimating where it was opening at I cam up with
about 180.
Then I changed to a Stant HD 180 degree thermostat on Sat. now it is running
a full needle width hotter. The needle would never touch the (2) in 210, now
it is always touching the (2).
And yes I bought the truck new, and yes the stock thermo said 195 on it.
Hmmmm... my 99 5.2 never pinged either!
