I just can't buy it... A couple of years ago, Sam Wilcox took a van .030
360, cam, TB, Chip, heads, convertor/shift kit, 3.91's, ram air and put it
in his Gen II Auto and run's 13.70's @ 99 mph on radials with cast iron
manifolds. I ran 14.20's @ 99 mph in a Gen II 5-speed 318, cam, TB, Chip, no
head work, stock clutch, 3.91's, ram air and cast iron manifolds. He run's a
pinion snubber on a 8 3/4" rear, I ran a stock 8 1/4" rear. I'd say that's
pretty close in parts match up except for the cubes. I suppose what I am
getting at is that I have alot of faith in the 318's power.
