Yes sir! To me, buying another set of gaskets is a lot easier than pulling the
intake off again to fix a poor gasket seal. And yes, throw away the end seals
and use a healthy bead of Black Permatex silicone. Get a cold chisel and ding
the block and intake sealing surfaces, clean it real good with Brake cleaner,
acetone, or whatever, then squeeze on a healthy bead of silicone, let it skin
over, then slap the intake on. Make sure you don't go overboard with the
silicone, too much and the excess will run out, possibly break off and clog an
oil passage like the valley drain.
