Talk to Paxton and Vortec about that and they'll giggle about it. The
amount of loss (maybe 5%) from the belt drive isn't enough to make much of a
difference when you can run them from 4psi - 30psi.

Horsepower losses from a belt driven supercharger are much greater than from
the impeller on the exhaust side of a turbo. I am not saying that there are
no losses from driving a turbo, but it is much lower than a belt.
