It is illegal if it doesn't carry either a CARB# or 49-State approval. Is
it illegal to run it....well of course not. It's actually a sh**load of
fun. ;)

actually, it is street legal. the only thing that is illegal is carrying the
nitrous in a vehicle without a little sticker for it in the window. most nos
kits come with one, it's like those little green triangle signs you see on
the back of tractors that cut grass along the interstate. but with that,
actually using nitrous on your car is not illegal.
