Thougth about it but couldn't swing the high cost. They are supposed to be
the top of the line as I have heard great results on Mustangs and Camaros.
They guarantee .5 if you can get traction and they have a 2 year warrantee.
It is a 9" with a conversion plate for around $900. I originally ordered a
TCI and had questioned them several times as to be sure it was the right one,
along with the dealer, I had order it, also called them direct. Anyway it
came wrong and looked like a piece of junk. I e-mailed there tech support 2
days in a row and never received a reply for about 10 days or 2 weeks later.
In the mean time I returned it to the dealer for refund and went to Protorque
(www.protorque.com) Communicated with joe@protorque.com who was very helpful
and prompt. I bought one of their's and am pretty happy with it. I do not
know exact gains as I got into a mess with another project at the same time
and due to backordered parts from MP had a lot of time and did a few other
projects at the same time. So the individual gains are not documented. I do
believe it helped though as most of the mods should have hurt low end and did
improve high end, however I appear to have also gained some on low end and
the TC seems the only logical reason for this. Protorque has a 30 day
satisfaction guarantee and a 1 year warrantee. TCI had crappola and 90 days.
The protorque product was a very nice quality looking product and FIT
properly. The cost when I got it was 395 plus ship, 412 total.
