No, I did not have to cut any of the fascia for the Draw-Tite (the
Hidden-Hitch plans did call for cutting some of the fascia). You will
loss the plastic shroud (that has the oil filter access hole in it) or
modify it (that's what I'm working on now). I did not figure out the
loss in the angle of approach, but the top of the receiver part of the
hitch has maybe a 1/4 inch clearance from the bottom of the fascia and
then hangs down the width of the receiver tube from there. So the
receiver places you about 3 inches closer to the ground under the fascia,
but the cross brace, skip plates, transfer case and differential are all
inches lower than the receiver. The rest of the hitch sets up and behind
the frame for the radiator housing, behind the bumper. You do have to
notch out a small area in the skid plate to access a bolt hole for one of
the supports that run to the cross brace.
