It's aluminum reflective tape. QuikTruk99 who made the intake would know
more about it than I would. Kevin actually made it, and when he got his K&N
GenII I bought the setup off him. Works quite well. I just switched back to
my stock air hat/K&N. I did that because I've found that in the warmer
weather we just had here she'd stumble off the line. The stock setup fixed
that, so what I'm gonna do is get some sheet stock and do a little bending
and cutting to make a heat shield for the home-brew ala K&N GenII and see
what happens. If it works I'll paint it to match the truck..
