I just checked out the pix... Wow! You've really got your machine looking
sharp!

I don't understand not pressing the repair shop though. Whether the insurance
co. paid or not, it still needs to be repaired to your satisfaction.
Especially if top dollar was paid for it.

The 11th sounds like a great meet but I dunno if I can make it as we may have
some friends coming up to visit that weekend. It's kinda up in the air right
now so if they don't make it I'll be at the meet.

Thanks for asking, Tom ;-) I have to admit that it looks A LOT
sharper than stock. However, the quality of work done leaves
something to be desired. When I went back to point out some things,
the body shop basically said, "Yep, I see." and that was it. Rather than
raise a big stink and get my insurance company involved, I decided
I'd chalk it up to a lesson learned and not go back there and/or
recommend the body shop.
The places I'm not happy with don't jump right out at you, but they
are there if you look as close as I do. Considering they had my Dak
for close to a month and I ( read:my insurance co.) paid top dollar,
the work done was no where near par. Yep, I'm one fussy S.O.B. ;-)
Anyway, you can see my Dak's changes on my web site. Just click on
pictures. I'm not happy with the quality of the photos and am going to
go out again with my 35 mm camera and get some better quality shots.
You can see it in person at the meet(?) at

I'm planning on going, but procrastination has gotten the better of me
and I haven't signed up yet.

p.s. I'm glad to hear you had a good time in VT. Loreen and I are heading
up shortly to try to find some new antique shops.
