Hi everyone,
Sorry to take up bandwidth with this, but I just have to tell someone who
might care.
I went to the cheap drags night at Indianapolis Raceway Park tonight, and
since my usual racer ElCamino is sick, I had to run my Dak for a speed
fix. My truck is an '00 RC 4x4, totally loaded with the 4.7, 5-speed and
3.92 lsd (no mods). It ran a 15.94 at 84.85 and backed it up with a 16.05
at 85.03. Sweet! And with reaction times of .549 and .552, I think I
might be wasting time bracket racing my ElCo, even if it is three seconds
faster!
Anyway, I just had to add my voice to the choir singing the praises of the
semi-hemi.
Anyone else with a 4x4 and a stick experiencing extreme rear-end wrap-up
when launching and shifting? Any cheap suggestions of how to help this?
(Other than not shifting so hard, smart alek ;)
Take it easy, but not TOO easy,
Jay Duncan
