No I'm not from Nawlins' but that damn town cost me a helluva lot of brain
cells over the years... heh heh
Welcome to the list!
I'd check with Rancho or Tuff-Country for a lift kit and then put a locker in
your rear. It would make your truck a fairly capable off-roader for most
situations. I know here in Arizona where you don't encounter a whole lot of
nasty mud most of the time 4x2's with lockers do quite well as long as they
have the ground clearance.

Hey fellow Dak lovers. My name is Nick and I have a '98 CC 4X2 V6 auto
trans. I know, I know... should have got the V8, 4X4, etc..
Anyway, has anyone done any suspension mods to a 4X2 to make it tougher
looking and better performing offroad (i.e., similar to a prerunner)? I am
interested in doing the same mods and would like to know where to start. Its
great to see a community of fellow enthusiasts - what an awesome resource.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any help - I only want to make a great thing better!
By the way, I'm in New Orleans-anyone else out there from here?? Thanks-
Nick
