Subject: DML: Quick Diet = Lower ET
Hi, all
I put the HOT DAK on a quick diet the past couple of days
taking off the Grille Guard and its brackets, and the molded
running boards resulting in a weight loss of about 85 lbs.
With a running weight of 4,265 lbs, I got a PB ET of
14.737 sec. @ 91.75 mph into a slight headwind (~10 mph),
84F and 29% humidity. I spun the tires a bit off the line
running ~ 5/100's off my best 60' but nailed a pb 1/8-mi.
of 9.364 @ 72.95 with 5000 rpm shifts (one of the few runs
with no shift problems).
HOT DAK looks different from the front and gives me the
illusion of getting into a 4x4 but, when you can drop
1.2 tenths, I can live with it.
