Maybe I'm wrong but the 4x4 R/T had 3.92 gears with a 5.9 Magnum motor. I
poop the head to check it out for clearance on the Mopar headers. It is
sitting on the front cement vehicle stand (Jack Powell).

The 4x4RT, no way. It has 3.55 gears (which suck off the
line), plus it only has the 5.2L. On wet pavement it won't
even spin them!!! But it makes it fun to race most ANYTHING
and beat it on the wet roads. The 5.9L is a completely
difference beast though, so I would imagine you'd have some
fun with people at the lights (wet or dry), plus the 3.92
makes the 3.55 look like a V8/V6 comparison. I can't
complain though, as once the 4x4 gets moving, the 3.55
gears give it a good pull ahead, and it tows 5000# at 65-70
mph in drive easily. PLUS, I was able to get mileage in
the high 16s-low 17s on my last trip to Vegas... all the
while cruising at 85-90 mph...
The 4x4 w/275-60-17 tires does GREAT in the Sand. You'd be
able to take your RT Durango to the Dunes and cruise around
a bit without any problem. I did, and in 4FT too...
