Mike,
You could spray the exhaust, but don't use it on your headers; it won't hold
up. The hi-temp aluminum paint from the auto part stores doesn't seem to
hold up. If I was going to try and us a hi-temp aluminum paint again, I
would try the paint offered by Eastwood. Here is their web address:
http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/cgi-bin/sgdynamo.exe?HTNAME=default2.htm
Go to "Speciality Coatings", and there is a section for high temp coatings.
Or just go here:
http://www.eastwoodco.com/cgi-bin/sgsh0101.exe?SKW=HI-TEMP&UID=2000060809410

(It's a direct link to the page.) Hope this helps you out.

Subject: DML: Exhaust Paint?

DML,

I just puchased my Power Perfomance Haeders the other day from KRC
Performance. I am thinking
of spraying my echaust pipes, cat, and muffler. I saw some aluminized spray
at Pep Boys rated at 1200 degrees.
is this enough? How hot does the exhaust get? Could I spray my headers
with this too?
