Ok...DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME without a Dial Indicator and a Degree
Wheel...Seriously.
But, after 4 1/2 hours (30 minutes due to a busted drill bit int he block),
it's installed and working very nicely. The kit bolts directly on to the
block but, on the V6, you have to redrill one of the holes about 1/2"
inward. Otherwise, you drill right into an oil passage near the crank.
Also, you WILL need a degree wheel and dial indicator to get TDC. There are
NO marks on the timing gears since the cam gear is adjustable via a seriess
of 7 bolts. (Milodon states that the timing marks are NOT accurate and a
degree wheel is required to get a perfect TDC reading...totally
understandable and correct.)
So...i'll be driving her around (with a pretty whining noise) for the next
week to see how it holds up and if there's any problems with the setup.
Pictures will be up on my site shortly (computer is down right now for the
Digital Camera).
