Hey Jeremiah do you know what your Dak runs in the 1/4 mile or better yet the 1/8 mile? Since most street races are somewhere between 1/8-1/4 mile. One of my friends owns a 99.5 Ferd Frightning and runs great at the 1/4 mile track (13.4's) but I stomp the $hit out of him during street races. He usually passes me at around 55-60 MPH, but by then we are usually slowing down for the next light or traffic. The reason being is that it takes him some time (RPM's) to build up some good boost in his supercharger, but before he gets to that point he is just a heavy stock F-150, which I believe runs in the 17's.
Good spank story...I wish you were closer to MI so that we could run them! I've raced one CC Dak R/T (not sure what year it was) and the race was a draw. It was right after I installed my Quick D intake & TB. We were both dead nuts even up to about 50-60 MPH and then the Dak had to turn off. I thought my little Durango did good against the Dak R/T since the Dak weights a lot less. Durango ½, Dak ½.

Subject: DML: DURANGO Spank!!
Hey all,
I wanted to let you all in on my latest spank.. I met a burgundy Durango at
a redlight last night, in Minot. He was even with me,a nd I wasn't thinking
of it at the time, until my gf Kristal said, 'I think he wants to race you.'
By then the light was green, and he holeshotted me. I floored the skinny
pedal, and he was already about a trucklength ahead. I slammed the selector
into 1, and locked out the OD. Shifted abotu 4900 RPM, and saw his lead
shrink. We were uphill racing, too. I passed him about 65-70 MPH, and when
I flew by I looked at him. He smiled back, so I guess there were no hard
feelings. I dunno if it was the 318 or the 360 he had,a nd wasn't payign
attention to if it was a 4x4 or not. But I was hooting and hollerin'!
Dak 1 Durango 0 :)
