Yea. I remember that I have seen that reset button on alpine head units.
There are also 2 screws that hold the lazer lens together so it doesn't get
banged around during shipping.. I'd look into that also.

I remember helping that guy...There was a reset switch you had to push
with a pen after wiring the unit, prior to using it.
