That's what I thought too and it is half right. Problem is: The CAB
(controller antilock brakes) which is actually a processor needs to be
upgraded for tire sizes, rear end gear chgs, etc. The PCM picks up
information that's processed forst by the CAB.

I thought that the GEN III PCM are self-adjusting MAP EEPROM chip when
disconnected and reconnected to change what ever the new given parameters
