Well finally got a coupla pics of the lifted Dak up for y'all to take a
gander at!
Its just my member profile page for the Central NC 4x4 club and its still
missing some info that needs to be added on my mods, etc, but its a start.
Hopefully I will post a personal web page of my own sometime soon with better
photos of the Dak.
its at: http://cnc.4x4.org/members/members.php3?member=david_kilian
Side note: went weelin' all day yesterday at Uwharrie National Forest OHV
trails (north of Charlotte, NC) and the Dak did awesome! took some pretty
gnarly mountain trails fairly easily and no clearance or body damage issues
on the rocks (although the trails aren't quite considered "hard core" like
Tellico or Moab, but the pucker factor is still there!) Definitely got a lot
of "second glances" by the jeepers out there. Only note to factor was a lot
of metal "stress" and "creaking" noises when traversing some obstacles,
mostly coming from the torsion bars I think. May need to carry a set of
spares. At one point there was some cool articulation on some big rocks, so I
grabbed my camera and the batteries were DEAD, so no pics :( Now I know to
carry spare batteries with all the other gear!
