Cap & Rotor - How-To???

I am going to install a new cap and rotor this weekend on my 99 V-6 and was
wondering if anyone could help me. Do I have to take the whole distributor
out or can I just pull the cap and rotor off? Also I have never done this
before and wondering if anyone could give me some tips or steps that would
make the process easier. Once again I have no clue how to do this. Thank
you very much in advance.
