Well if you can spare the money, I would buy infinity kappa's. The sound if
very nice and they have a 3 year warranty. just my opinion on the matter.

Subject: DML: Speaker Lifespan/Speaker Question

How long should an aftermarket speaker last for??? I installed a pair of
Pioneer 6.5" 2way speakers in the doors of my truck 2 years ago. Today, I
pulled the door panels off(after noticing sound quality has been poor
lately) only to find both speakers are shot. I could understand if I had an
amp or something, but my Pioneer CD Deck is only putting out 35x4. I rarely
crank the sound level up also. Oh well, looks like I am off the Best
Buy/Circuit City tonight to buy a new pair, which will not be Pioneer. I
have had nothing but problems with my Pioneer CD deck, and now the Pioneer
speakers are shot. I am rather upset with the product quality and will never
buy Pioneer products again. I hope my rear Pioneer 5x7 3way speakers are
still working, I will check those out tomorrow. Is the extra money worth it
for 3ways compared to 2way speakers? Anyone recommend a good brand which
might hold up better than the Pioneer speakers?? Thanks,
Kyle
