1. Shift transfer case into 4H position
2.Remove shift bezel screws and slide boot, bracket and bezel upward for
access to shift lever and gate (fig. 5 )
3. Secure shift lever in 4H position in the shift gate. Use wire or tape to
hold lever in position.
4. Raise vehicle.
5. Remove adjusting swivel lock bolt and lock plate.
6. Disconnect adjusting swivel from shift arm.
7. Verify that transfer case range lever is in 4H detent.
8. adjust swivel position on shift rod to obtain free fit in the shift arm.
9. Insert swivel in shift arm and install swivel lock plate and lock bolt.
Tighten lock bolt to 90 inch pounds torque.
10. lower vehicle.
11. remove items holding shift lever and install boot, bracket and bezel.
