I spoke with one of my neighbors on that (he runs his own HVAC service) and
he stated: "That's an excellent idea and yes, it will help out the A/C
system as well."

Guess I know what i'm doing next weekend. ;) (He's got all the tubing,
foam tape, and heat shielding.)

    The foil helps to keep the cold in the A/C lines. Also to help keep the
air going into the TB cool. That foil has a layer of foam under it. It helps
down here in Texas. When at work, I go outside for a break at it's in the
90's at 4am!!! forget what high noon is like. When I lived in New England

RI & NJ) I would the same thing to the heater hoses for the winter.
