Mine has been in three times now. First time the plug wire reroute
was supposed to fix it...not. Next time I the intake manifold gasket was
bad, and I needed the Five Star $75 throttle body cleaning....work
performed...ping continues. Last week it went in for the same ping...I am
waiting on a new cat converter before they will do the reflash....and I am
still pinging. I am at 27k miles in 14 months of having this truck, so I
need to hurry and get this fixed. I'm going to fix it with a 360 Quad Cab
4x4 if they don't get it soon. hehehe

Question: Has anyone had their '99 Dak in for the "pinging problem" PCM
reflash? If so, did it fix the problem? Are there any undesireable side
effects (MPG/acceleration/power/etc.)?
