Dusting off more cobwebs in this pre-mag history lesson..... The one part
the E48 318 did not get from the 360-4V was the camshaft. Here you had an
engine with great heads, great intake manifold, great carb.....AND NO VALVE
MOVEMENT!!! I mean that stock cam was WEAK!!! One of the easiest things
you could do to make a good street motor a GREAT street motor was to simply
put in a 340 grind cam. Or obviously some aftermarket grind. But a cheap
simple 340 cam would do wonders for that engine.
