I currently have a Dak QC 4x4 on order, but I specified not to have a
factory stereo installed - so that I could install an after-market one.
(I'm not a huge car stereo nut, I'd just prefer to have a non-factory one).
I'd like to go ahead an organise a stereo and speakers, so that I have them
ready and waiting for installation as soon as the truck arrives. I've
pretty much decided on a mid-price Pioneer model (I may opt for the 'big'
one that fills the 'big GM hole' in the dash), and Pioneer speakers.
However, I have a couple of questions:
1. Does anybody know what size speakers I should order? I guess I'll
need 2 front, and 2 back? Should these be regular 6.5", or the "oversized
GM" 6.5 ones?
2. I'm assuming that most of the wiring will already be in place - eg:
all wires to the stereo 'hole', and wires out to the speaker locations. Can
anybody confirm this please? (I realize that'll I'll probably need an
adapter of some sort to attach a Pioneer stereo to the wiring loom)
