The 5224 is a "Special Power Tip" and the 392x is a "Standard Tip".

Why use the 3923:

Well, coming from a person who runs Splitfires (normally), the 3923'2
actually improved the acceleration somewhat. (And that's improved over the
factory replacement 5224's as well.) It seems to have something to do with
the tip...can't be sure though.
