Stang versus Camry

I was involved in an auto accident last week with a 2000 TOYOTA CAMRY. She
was lucky that it was not my Dak truck or she would of been 'ROAD KILL'. I
can only surmise that she has watched to many bad commercials on Toyota
performance and not enough sense.

Anyway. I was driving in the left lane after coming of the 78 freeway in
Oceanside (CA) to Plaza drive. I learned never drive on a blind spot road in
the right lane with a lot of curves during rush hour. Like always I get
into the left lane doing my NASCAR style of driving when a WOMAN pulls out
of the Pepboys parking lot and WAMMMMMM! There are only two V6 Roush
Mustang (this was a Roush Test vehicle) that I know of and one just bit the
dust. No Twin Turbo Mustang that even Jack would envy now.

To finish, she pulls out of the parking not in the closest lane but into my
lane. The right lane was cleared since I passed that car a block back. What
possessed her to do it. I really don't know. Thank goodness for the four
Ford Racing disc that gave me enough time to swerve from hitting her door
and into the medium. Yes! I should of hit the car after mistake like that.
She had the nerve to say it was my fault that she pulled out in front of me.
AAAUUUUGGGGHHHHH! Some people...

When I hit the medium the front (290.00 per tire) 18" tire blew with the
sudden impact of hitting the medium. I was on top of the medium skidding on
the body plates that protect the exhaust and tank system (low profile
vehicle with about 5 inches). So much for the front bumper, air dam, and
front modular chassis. I was jolted so hard that a few days later I had
medical anomalies begin to happen too me. I guess when I hit the medium
that hard it had enlarged the size of my heart. Not to the point for any
emergency, which I thank the Lord for. But give me enough time to look at
life once more with a different flair.

When I looked at her insurance papers maybe that was the culprit of medical
problems. Some insurance company that I have never heard or know exist.

Call the insurance company and explained what happen after I had seen the
total damage underneath. The right wheel is setback about an inch. I told
them I would not except anything less than the dealer of fixing this car or
total it. This car was designed for 140-170MPH (air drag limitation). With
that speed I don't want some fly by night service messing with the chassis.
Especially with all four wheels with an outward offset. So it is going in
to Roush specialist and my body to my medical doctor for a check-up. This
one scared me. I was sitting there and I felt a cold sweat from the head to
my toes and had irregular heart beats that made it hard to breathe. So if
you was involved in any accident, I would always go see your local doctor
for a check up.

Not to ramble anymore, 20th Century agree on the terms and will fund the
repair if it can be repaired. Looking at the tire/rim package/ for the
front is around almost 2000.00 dollars.

Yep ... you read right! I got in an accident! Due to an incompetent Utah
driver (go figure they owned a Chevy too) I now have $1,785.74 worth of
damage to the front of my truck. My wife and I were heading towards the base

at around 12:00 yesterday afternoon. She was in her car on the way to the
bank and I was behind her on my way back to work. Well, the extremely
"bright" owner of the Corvette in front of my wife decided that the road
cones in front of him were a good enough reason to go from 40 mph to a dead
stop. My wife realized what he was doing and slammed on her brakes. Now the
thought goes through the Vette owner's head "Gee I think I better move!"
Since he owned a Vette he got out of the way rather quickly and escaped
unharmed ... in fact we never saw him again. Meanwhile, I'm now reacting to
my wife's sudden stop with not quite the same luck as Mr. Corvette. 40 mph
... SLAM! No airbags went off, but the front of my truck is wrinkled to the
tune of approximately $1800. We have yet to find out the amount of damage to

the Honda, but let me tell you this ... Dodge 1 Honda 0!! I'll post pictures

on my webpage when I get them developed.
