Just a little tip for you. I have a 97 and my fuel filter clogged up just after the
warranty ran out on it. They told me it was gonna cost like $450 to get it changed
out, due to the whole fuel pump/filter assembly needing to be changed and the tank
having to be dropped. So I bitched at the service manager for awhile until he agreed
to ok it under warranty, I was only 1,000 miles out. BUT, one of the techs I worked
with told me a little secret while he was changing the thing for me. The only reason
they tell you that you have to change the whole assembly is cuz if you go in and ask
for a fuel filter for a 95 or above it comes up "Non-servicible Item" on their little
computer screen. You can however walk in and tell them you want a filter for a 94,
they will give it to you, then you can drop your tank and the old filter will pop
right out of the module and can be replaced by the new filter you just purchased.
This will save ya about $400 but it's sure a pain in the ass to drop that tank.
