I don't think so. The Ram, and to a lesser degree, Dakota, are targeted
at very different markets than the sedans. And I don't think the
"average buyer" thinks about RWD vs. FWD much.

I think it's more a nod to going back in time a little (esp. for Dodge)
and getting back to some fast cars - we can have our cake and eat it too
(fast cars that handle well in all conditions and are fuel-efficient).
And, as the article pointed out, it may be a move to make the line up a
little more "global" with the poularity of RWD in European sedans.
