for one thing the engine in the R/T is the same engine in every other ram
truck with a 360 engine .. there is nothing different done to the R/T
engine.. where do people get there facts.. why do i know this well i have a
99 R/T had it for almost 2 years now ..and i'm talking to dc now about the
tow issue .. from what dc reps are telling me its because of the suspension
mods from the factory ,the lower hight ,and tires used with the R/T..i think
these are shitty reasons but this is what they are saying and they are
sticking to it..they have never come out and told people the reason for the
lowering of the tow rating ,from what i heard from people that have done a
buy-back to dc.
