Hey-- here's my reply that I just sent (the part about having 2 RTs was
true, 12 months ago-- but hey, it was easier to type than trying to explain
the current setup :O)

Topic for discussion: Dakota R/T has macho appeal
Your comments:
I have been offended by your review of the Dakota RT on He Drove, She Drove.
I laugh at some of your comments re: "But didn't the regular-cab Dakota seem
awfully confined?". HEY, a regular cab is going to be more confined than a
club/extended cab. Ever ride in a Mazda Miata?? THAT's confined. Your
comments on the 'crank' windows... I laugh at that too, see, you got a
stripped truck. 95% of the RTs out there are loaded with power everything
(including the seat!). You mentioned the heavy duty shocks "always left my
teeth chattering "... Drive another pickup with an empty bed and you'll have
the same experience. Sure, you tried to compare the RT to the Lightning, why
not the Chevy Extreme to the RT?? Seems the RT fits right in the middle--
right where Dodge wanted it to be. Your comments about how the RT isn't for
women... WRONG. We have 2 RTs, and I can't pry the keys from my wife's
hands-- she loves that truck, as do many other female drives we know. If
you'd like to review a modified RT to get a feel for what us crazy grown up
teenagers do with these trucks, let me know. We have an organization of over
700 RT owners nationwide, and surely someone would take you for a ride.
Imagine a truck that would not only take Lightning in speed, but a Corvette
in handling! From reading other articles, your accounts for what a vehicle
does or doesn't do is about as far off as the weatherman's prediction for
rain 2 weeks from tomorrow. But hey, it's your opinion-- and everybody knows
the scoop on opinions.

Sam '00 RT!!!!!!!!!!!! "YEAH BABY-- I am one sexy Xitch!"
