Not an R/T, but a built early '98 Magnum R/T. Why? the R/T
was not availible in a 5 speed and was still a rumor. To answer
your questions. Starting with the front, the coil kit from
Western Chassis has 8 coils per spring compared to the stock
6 coils. Drop height went from 32 inches to 30 3/4"s. total
drop 1 1/4 inches. I had to re-install and trim 1 coil slightly
because it was 1/2 inch higher than the other. The new coils took
1 week to settle completely. BTW, this was a $99 1 inch drop kit.

The rearend was lowered with WC 2 inch shackle hangers. A BEAR
to install because you have to drill out and chisel off the stock
rivets. They did provide a good 2" drop in the rear, but the effect
on ride quality was very hard. I decided to offset this by removing
the second spring from the BOTTOM of the spring pack for a test only.
To my surprise this lowered the truck an additional 1 inch and the
ride quality and handling improved tremendiously. The rear ended up
lowering a total of 3"s, 32" from ground to fender flare. NO bottoming
out front or back with stock shocks. Not bad for $180, but count
on alot of labor and fine tuning.
