demand a new clutch, totally BS from DC on that!! These clutches are more
than antiquate for the TQ/HP numbers being produced!

With only 230HP (SAE) and 12K miles on clutch that is a problem. I ran
engines more than three times that and ran the clutch to 35K to 50K miles (I
mean abused) and no problems. These engines were designed to hold up to
150K before overhaul is required. Are we talking about the same engine?

The clutch along with other driveline stuff ."Wear Related" is only
warranted for 12000 miles...suck it up and get a centerforce

Chris, I would sit down and read your warranty too check for this so-called
normal wear at 12K miles for clutch units. Then, find an automotive trail
type attorney to handle your case. If you can find another person with a
similar problem you have civic lawsuit against DC and the dealerships. I
see only big dollars here for both you and the lawyer.

I cannot find it in my warranty that normal is 12K. You have a good case
but I would have it in writing from both dealership that one who you had
complained for five time to correct and the other refusal to repair based on
normal wear at 12K. The lawyer will not cost you anything out of your
pocket but the usual 40 percent of the proceed won from the lawsuit.

Chris, I know you have a case here. Remember, it is your right as a
consumer to ensure that DC holds up it's end on the expressed automotive
warranty and any defects. In another words - don't take it lying down. GO
FOR IT!

Well after 8 calls to DC and many more to the dealers they refuse to pay for
the clutch or trans they said that the clutch was normal ware. The clutch
plate is cracked the bearing are bad and it was wore down to the rivits and
they said they will have to machine the flywheel they want 800.00 to fix it
and they even took away my rental car even though i paid extra for the
extended rental coverage. does anyone know of a good aftermarket clutch that
might be cheaper.

Thanks
Chris Lambert
