Can anyone give me some ideas?
I have a '99 Dak 4x4. At about 13k mi the front drivers side tire/wheel
area
started making a clunking noise. Now at 15k mi it is quite abit worse.
The problem seems to be really noticeable when turning left on slightly
rough surfaces where the suspension articulates a bit. I can feel a
clunking
and rattling through the floor board (feet) and steering wheel.
I have been to my 5 Crap dealer twice already. The first time they fixed
some TSB relating to the steering wheel clunking. Did not help.
Next they adjusted my left torsion bar saying it was "out of alignment"
(is that a load or crap or not?). Did not fix the problem.
I am really stumped as to what it can be. The ball joints seem
ok (as far wiggle tire method goes) and nothing appears visibly
loose or broken.
Could a wheel bearing do this? or a bad half shaft? No problems
are felt when turning right. But I can notice a slightly clunk when driving
straight
on uneven roads.
thanks in advance
Jason
