What you do is write back and say "I'll be happy to send you every penny I
make on my traction bars."

Even if you built an EXACT copy of theirs for yourself, I don't think that's
a patent violation. I think it's only if you're selling them.

That being said, patent protection is important, but these guys are
obviously a little hypersensitive to it. They're probably worried that if
people find out they can make their own with some old S-10 springs or
whatever they find in the junkyard, they won't sell anything.
