I will change again the gear size now to 4:43 gears after the mod to the
engine is complete. This will push the truck in the sub 5 or high 4 (0-60
MPH).

HI all,
I have the 3.55 lsd in my '99 4x4 CC V8 auto w/ 31's (read: slow!!) and I've
been thinking about changing to 3.92's (or 4.11's) for a while now. What
brand of ring/pinion gears is recommended? I have the 8.25" rear end, and
not so sure on the front diff (maybe dana 30?). I noticed my '99 does not
have a speedometer pinion - does that mean I need to take it to the dealer
once the re-gearing is done and have it reprogrammed? (the dealer here
seriously sucks, I really don't want to go there unless absolutely
necessary) Please e-mail me at dakotaguy1999@yahoo.com Thanks a bunch for
the help!
