If your situation is as grim as it sounds, getting knee-deep in someone
else's forsaken project doesn't sound like a good idea. Why not "sell" the
Dak back to your dad, still have visitation rights, and buy a beater basic
transportation car. Drive that for a year while you work and SAVE, then dump
it (and your "roomies") and get back into the Dak & a better life.
 I'm 44 & have seen my share of lean times (including now) but if you're
determined, you can have a win-win scenario.
