I recently purchased a set of 17X9 R/T rims for my '00, CC, 4.7, 5 spd,
3.55, 2wd. I know I can mount the 255/55 tires but I would like to mount
either 275/60 or 275/55 tires. Would I encounter ANY clearance problems
using the larger tires? The reason I would like taller tires is that I have
31K miles on a 12 month old vehicle and my annual mileage will not be
diminishing; any mileage increase would surely help my bank account. Better
road handling should also be possible.
I have installed other mods and the tire change is the last of economy
changes.
