No ego hurt...The Ferd driver was just a a$$hole...the Chevy guy was just
being polite. (I've done the same thing in the past so the favor being
returned was very nice.)

Nope, you still need a pre-existing ignition system to use the Digital-6.
The Digital-7 is for a custom ignition system and is way too much for our
applications. It's (the 7) designed for race vehicles.

PS. is the MSD Digital 6 a coil less ignition system? The digital 7 seems
to be so and you can set timing, but how badly will that mess with the stock
computer? details details details. Jeg's magazine doesn't offer enough.
