I agree with that. If you are looking for the best protection
and want to use your truck like a truck, a spray-in is the only way
to go. If you just want it for looks and scratch protection, I
have always thought bed rugs look nice. A rug won't give you the
dent protection of a spray-in though.
A plastic drop-in will give you the best dent protection, but it
will scratch the HECK out of your bed, and will wear down to bare
metal. I've got a plastic drop-in free when I ordered my Dak, and I
regret it to this day. I can't take it out though because as soon as I
remove the rubbing action, my bed is going to rust.
Whatever you choose, my suggestion is to run, (don't walk) away
from a plastic drop-in!
