I tried really hard to stay out of this one, but I've failed!
I would not go so hard on DC, cuz the way I see it, ever since the advent of
metallic pads, rotors have become disposable, wear items. This becomes even more
true once a rotor has been turned. It then contains less material to dissipate
the heat generated by braking. Take my 1992 for instance.... 20k miles turn
rotors to get rid of warping. 30k miles replace rotors and pads. 60k miles turn
rotors. 80k replace rotors and pads. This is typical of other vehicles I've
owned including a Ferd Exploder, Mitsu Eclipse GSX, 2 Daytonas and other Daks.
Sorry to pee on anyone's parade, but I don't think the problem is exclusive to
our beloved Mopars.
