Yes, Scott, the K&N is the intake I was talking about. All Mopar parts work
good. I have not heard anything bad about them. There are some Dodge
dealers on the list here that sell Mopar parts cheaper than retail such as
http://www.kollerdodge.com . If you live out here in SoCal you may want to
consider joining DTOA (Dodge Truck Owner's Assn)
http://www.egroups.com/group/DTOA . Joining at the cost of $25 will allow
you to buy your Mopar parts from participating dealers for cost + 10% which
is a substantial savings from anywhere else. You will recover your $25
membership fee on your first major item purchase, e.g., my PCM retails for
$436. I bought it for $283. The quality of Mopar parts is as good as if
not better than aftermarket parts from other SEMA companies. A lot of times
Mopar will change an aftermarket part slightly because they know how their
vehicles are built. A recent example comes to mind. I bought a bed
extender for my Dak from Mopar for $180. Other aftermarket dealers sold a
generic extender for $180. No gain on the price. Basically, they look the
same. Then someone asked on the list how they drilled the holes on the Dak
to mount their extender and what did they seal the holes with. With the
Mopar one, you don't need to drill holes because the bracket that holds the
extender is mounted to the tie-down bolts on either side. Mopar headers are
made by Mike Leach Headers, also here in SoCal.

Thanks for the info Ron. Do you know if the Mopar
performance parts are worth the $. ie PCM, headers
etc. or are they just overpriced. I would kinda like
to keep it in the Mopar family, but...I checked out
the ram air sys from Mopar...Don't like it...
so I plan on getting a K&N gen II air system as one of
my first upgrades (easy to do it yourself). Is that
what you meant by "Intake"?
