I'm making a solid 6# at 3000+ and the gauge doesn't fluctuate. The belt,
if made any tighter than it already is (and you can play guitar on the belt
already), will put too much stress on the bearings and that's not what I
want to do to fix it.

I disconnected the BTM and the problem seemed to have vanished...for now.
