well well.... I was on my way to the gf's house tonight, cruisin up I540.
as I was coming down the entrance ramp, I fall in behind a Gen II rc 2wd 5sp
and of course, all 8 cyls :)
not thinking much about playin around, I zip on by him and find a nice
lovely open lane to get up to cruising speed. about a mile later, I notice
the 1 headlight from the dak still in my mirror (all other traffic having
faded off in the distance) well I'm not into the drafting biz, so I up the
pace a few more clicks. well I'm now about 3 miles from where all traffic
must exit (rd construction) and this guy is still behind, so I say to myself
"self, he *might* be game for this.. slow down" so I back off to a speed
closer resembling what Gov. Hunt says I should do and allow him to get
beside me.
My lanes are now ending from the left (i'm in the left lane) and I hear him
downshift and start to speed up. I click out O/D and stand on the long
pedal, meanwhile this fella has pulled 1/2 truck length on me *gulp* well,
never fear, MPI is here!!! I pull even and start the walk around 85mph, and
somewhere between 105 and 110 he's a safe 5 lengths back.
