That price is reasonable. Most charge ~$600 to do one end. That includes
the gears. Don't forget to ask them to give you your old ones back.

Just got off of the phone with a local shop and they said I would have to
replace both the front and rear differential if I wanted to change gears.
They want $1100 to do this ouuuuuch! Is this true or can I just change the
rear end? How much should I expect to pay to change gears?
