You're on the right track. Assemble the unit, then scuff it with fine
sandpaper or Scotch pad. Prime it with HIGH HEAT exhaust spray primer, let
dry a day. Then paint it with HIGH HEAT exhaust spray in your color choice. I
believe they offer black, silver & red. DON'T use engine paint, it'll flake
off. A tip: drill a small hole near the end of one side (where the filter/air
hat hose would cover it anyway) and hang the rig from a coat hangar. Makes it
a lot easier to paint. Good luck.
